Construction kicks off on Ingenia Lifestyle Parkside
With the first celebratory sod turned on Wednesday 17 June, construction has now begun on Ingenia Lifestyle Parkside.
The multi-million-dollar community development will deliver 163 homes and will be the second Ingenia community in Victoria.
With deposits already received on almost 80% of the first release, Parkside looks set to follow the sell-out success of Ingenia Lifestyle’s first Victorian community in Lara.
Ingenia Communities Development Manager Colin Greaves said that it was exciting to see construction kick off on the much-anticipated Parkside.
“Lucas is a rapidly growing area of Ballarat and we’re thrilled to be breaking ground on a community that will be a significant part of its future,” Mr Greaves said.
“Ingenia Lifestyle Parkside will offer affordable, architect designed homes, with high quality finishes, light filled interiors, and modern open plan living.
“All the homes are designed to be low set and low-maintenance, with stunning raked ceilings and spacious alfresco areas – making them ideal to live your downsizing dream in style.
“Understanding that winters in Ballarat can get a little fresh, every home will include double-glazed windows and solar panelling – features that maximise energy efficiency and ensure considerable cost savings for residents.
“Ingenia Lifestyle Parkside will also include a range of community amenities for residents to enjoy, including a resort-style clubhouse, cinema and indoor heated pool.

Ben Sanderson, Jennifer Cameron and Graeme Paizis talk VIPs Dianne, Helen, Maureen and Carolyn through the first release of Parkside.
Mr Greaves said the over 55s community was designed to meet the demand from downsizers looking to potentially improve their finances as well as their lifestyle.
“Ingenia’s easy move model allows downsizers purchase a brand-new home with no exit or DMF fees, no government fees (stamp duty and council rates) and keep 100 per cent of any capital gains on resale.
“To secure the new home at Parkside, all that’s required is a $3,000 deposit and contract conditional to sale of their home.
“Eligible residents may also be able to access government rental assistance to help cover ongoing site fees – making it a very affordable long-term housing option”.
Ingenia Lifestyle Parkside are hosting a number of small downsizing discussion groups in July.
