Many happy returns to the lovely couple

Love is in the air at Ingenia Lifestyle Chambers Pines when ‘almost’ 85-year-old, Barry Keats, recently walked his new bride down the aisle.

But it wasn’t just any aisle, Barry chose to marry his sweetheart, Diana, in the special surrounds of his community on the pool deck of the Chambers Bay clubhouse.

Resident of 15 years, Barry was the first to move into Chambers Pines in 2004, (prior to Ingenia’s ownership), and has kept his number one ‘mayoral’ status while watching the community grow over the years.

Because of his long-standing tenure, Ingenia Lifestyle invited him to help cut the ribbon at the official opening ceremony of the resident’s multi-million dollar clubhouse in 2018.

And now, Barry has created another first at Ingenia Lifestyle Chambers Pines.

“Helping to open the clubhouse was a special moment and now it’s been made even more special to me being the first to get married here,” Barry said.

Community Sales Manager, Dianna McGrath said Barry is always a well-dressed man and an amazing person.

“He is a wonderful cook, especially desserts, and has most recently fallen in love with his lovely lady, Diana, who was a resident in a different community, however on an outing they met.

“Wearing a navy-blue suit and the bride dressed in royal-blue, Barry entertained 30 friends and family, taking about three days to create all of the catering himself.

“They now enjoy a lovely lifestyle together, Diana is always participating in the singing groups and line dancing and Barry is in to his snooker and lawn bowls.

“They are so busy mixing well in with the residents and group activities, I think they need to take a break and head away on a honeymoon!” Dianna exclaims.
