Changing Pace with a New Lifestyle Change

Ingenia Lifestyle Chambers Pines residents, Therese and Bill White, are in their late 50s, but made the decision to downsize earlier than they had planned.

“There’s a preconception you have to be well over 65 and retired to move into an over 50s community, but to be in our late 50s it was such a benefit to move into Ingenia Lifestyle Chambers Pines now and still work and have a communal lifestyle.

“We always had a ten year plan to act at 65 but I’m glad we acted now. I know my future is secured. I can still have the house and everything is maintained and looked after.

While living a busy life in Sydney, both working six days a week, Therese commenced research on making the move into a place that allowed them to free up equity, something with less maintenance and gave them more time to travel and enjoy life at a different pace.

“I looked into the cost of buying another smaller home but having to pay stamp duty fees, strata fees and higher rates made me think we couldn’t afford to move.

“Then I started to look into land lease communities. We were attracted to Ingenia Lifestyle Chambers Pines straight away.

“Everything was so well presented, we felt welcomed here from the beginning and everyone was so friendly.

Therese and Bill made the move with little worry and both feel relieved now that they’ve settled in. With Bill having serious health issues in the past, they know they won’t have to worry about security and their sons don’t need to worry as much anymore.

“We’ve got more leisure time and we’ve bought a nice boat to do a lot of fishing and relaxing.

“We all know that moving to a lifestyle-oriented community was a decision to make on part of the family and now our future is secured for the family.

“Aside from our children, we don’t have any more family left, but we have family here at Ingenia Lifestyle Chambers Pines. And that makes us contended,” Therese said.
