Resort-style Pool House set to make a splash

It may be winter, but residents at Ingenia Lifestyle Chambers Pines are already dreaming of summer in their new resort-style pool and tropical oasis due to start construction in August 2022.  Plans for the new leisure facilities were unveiled at a community preview on Saturday 28 May, 2022.

The resort-style pool and alfresco amenities – which as its own standalone facility is a national first for Ingenia’s growing network of over 55s communities – will comprise a state-of-the-art heated magnesium pool, two covered barbecue entertaining areas, spa and landscaped gardens.

Chambers Pines residents Rick and Cynthia Moran, who live directly across from the new facilities, are looking forward to incorporating them into their weekly routine – even in winter.   “We already use the existing pool four times a week for water aerobics, we just take our dressing gowns down in winter to put on afterwards,” Ms Moran said.  Rick said the new facilities – which will be located in the newer part of the growing community – will become a hub for people who enjoy outdoor entertainment.

Ingenia Communities Development Manager Stephanie Clark said the new facilities were part of the staged development of Ingenia Lifestyle Chambers Pines – a welcoming community that is proving a drawcard for over 55s, retirees and downsizers in the growth corridor between Brisbane and the Gold Coast.  “We have 477 residents currently in our close-knit community, and we’re welcoming 15 new residents every month,” Ms Clark said.

“COVID reaffirmed how important social connection and community is to us all, so it’s never been more important to have recreation and social spaces for residents to get together to exercise for improved physical wellbeing, or to share a laugh and build friendships to enhance mental wellbeing.”
