A friend you haven’t met yet: Your Lakeside Lara Community Manager

Grandfather of four and Geelong local Peter is known for his easygoing, friendly and helpful attitude. That, and his age, is what makes him perfect as Lakeside Lara’s new Community Manager.

“I’m in a similar age group to the residents, so I enjoy it. We have a lot in common and I learn so much because everyone has lived different lives with different occupations,” he says.

Peter’s background is in retirement living and banking, so he knows how to keep things running smoothly and he places great value on customer service.

“When people are happy and enjoying their lives – that’s rewarding,” he says.

Another thing about Peter is his passion for the local area. Having lived in Ballarat and Melbourne before moving to Greater Geelong a decade ago, Peter appreciates the pleasant pace of the region, but loves that the best of everything – beaches, restaurants, wineries – are still close by.

Peter was drawn to Lakeside Lara because the lifestyle model appealed to him personally. Impressed with the overall community, and especially the quality of the facilities, Peter hopes he can help residents make the most of them.

Striving to help people enjoy their retirement years, Peter is keen to work alongside residents to make Lakeside Lara an even more connected and welcoming place.

“It’s all about the people. I get to grow with residents and become lifelong friends with them.”
