Mayor opens Port Stephens over 55s clubhouse

Ingenia Lifestyle’s over 55s community Latitude One is paving the way for a better retirement by ensuring the fun continues long after retirement starts.

While some Australians struggle with the transition into retirement, particularly when it comes to the change in social dynamics, research from the NIA has highlighted the importance of social interaction and activity during retirement.

After officially opening the new Latitude One clubhouse this month, it’s clear residents won’t have any trouble coming together to socialise, especially with facility highlights that include a sports lounge, a large indoor heated pool, spa, sauna, and outdoor pool, a boutique 44 seat cinema and bowling green.

Port Stephens Mayor Ryan Palmer joined MARS Building Director Michael Boyd and Ingenia CEO Simon Owen to officially open the clubhouse where guests got an exclusive first look at the impressive clubhouse.

Mayor Palmer said the completed clubhouse would be an asset to the growing community.

“Having now seen inside the Latitude One Clubhouse, I am amazed at the quality and the expanse of the various facilities,” Mayor Palmer said.

“These are a credit to Ingenia, and I am sure will be well received by the growing number of residents at Latitude One.”

Ingenia CEO Simon Owen said the new clubhouse would become a popular hub for residents to come together.

“Our residents have been keenly watching the clubhouse come together and are all eager to make the most of the new facilities, especially the outdoor pool and bowling green,” Mr Owen said.

“At Ingenia, we pride ourselves on creating vibrant and engaged communities, and the new facilities embody the growing sense of community that exists within Latitude One.

“Our communities set a benchmark in over 55s living, and the new clubhouse offers an array of facilities and activities for residents to enjoy.”
