$75 million lifestyle oriented community celebrates

On Saturday 1 June, Coffs Harbour City Councillor Michael Adendorff joined Ingenia COO Nikki Fisher to officially open the Display Home Village at Ingenia’s $75 million over 55s coastal community – Plantations in Woolgoolga, New South Wales.

Guests at the opening were able to get an exclusive first look at six innovative new homes within the display village.

The display homes showcased the land lease model – the future in seniors living where residents can purchase a new architecturally designed home and lease the land.

With 96 per cent of properties sold in the first two stage releases, Ms Fisher said she was excited to open the display village which will support the next sales stage releases.

“We’ve seen the popularity for our lifestyle-focused land lease communities soar, with the majority of homes here at Plantations being snapped up by local downsizers,” Ms Fisher said.

“Due to such high demand we expect the next sales release of homes to be available as early as June.

“Our Plantations community sets a new benchmark in lifestyle living, it will offer an array of facilities and activities for residents to enjoy and we’re excited to see the community come to life in the picturesque Coffs Harbour region with our new residents.”

At the opening, Cr Adendorff commented on the value the over 55s community will bring to Woolgoolga and more widely to the Coffs Harbour region.

“Coffs Harbour City Council is always very mindful of the need to provide a range of housing options for our diverse community,” Cr Adendorff said.

“Having quality developments is also a priority in a region of outstanding natural beauty.

“Plantations appears to fit the bill really well and will be a great new addition in our region, and particularly for Woolgoolga.”

The opening of the Display Home Village comes as the first Plantations residents move in, with approximately 40 more residents expected to settle into their new homes by July 2019.

Woolgoolga locals and Plantations residents, Stan and Di Purnell moved into the over 55s community in May, becoming the first residents to call Plantations home.

“The process of building our home exceeded our expectations, any issues we faced were addressed straight away and the team’s professionalism was flawless,” Mr Purnell said.

“We have already had plenty of opportunities to meet our future neighbours through Ingenia’s events – it’s been nice to be able to put a name to a face and get to know everyone before they move in.”
