Queensland downsizers snap up homes at new $55m community
North Brisbane locals have leapt at the chance to become the first in Queensland to experience Ingenia Lifestyle’s new concept in over 50s resort living.
Locals have snapped up the majority of homes at Ingenia Lifestyle’s Freshwater community at the official sales launch earlier this month, securing enough deposits to fill the stage one release.
Since construction began in mid-2019, local interest has grown exponentially with the number of sales and enquiries exceeding expectations, facilitating the early release of the second stage in the community.
Stage one depositors, Arthur and Linda Robinson, from neighbouring suburb Narangba, have been planning to downsize for nearly two decades.
“We had been thinking about downsizing for the past twenty years but only decided to take the leap in the past six months,” Mrs Robinson said.
“Being locals, we had heard about Ingenia’s new project coming to East Burpengary and by attending the high tea events we were able to see the growing interest from the local community.
“The style of homes and location at Freshwater were perfect for us – we can still be close to our current friends and stay involved with our clubs, while also getting the opportunity to meet new like-minded people and fully embrace lifestyle living.”
“The land lease model was attractive to us with no exit fees, we keep any capital gains, it’s a willable asset and we can sell it ourselves. We looked at the rest and saved the best to last!”
Freshwater will introduce new premium home options with an array of resort facilities including a multi-million-dollar clubhouse, fully equipped gym, competition-standard bowing green, heated pool, spa, sports bar and cinema.
Project Sales Manager Tameeka Manson said Freshwater combines Ingenia Lifestyle’s unique and popular land lease ownership model with premium home, resort facilities and the Ingenia Life resident program.
