Club Millers opening brings Scenic Rim community together

Ingenia Lifestyle’s over 50s community Millers Glen has launched its sports precinct on Thursday June 12, 2025, marking a significant milestone for the Scenic Rim community.

Construction began on Club Millers in September 2024, with careful consideration given to minimising unnecessary demolition and waste by incorporating much of the existing structure into the new facility.

Club Millers offers a range of amenities for residents to enjoy including a two-lane bowling green, a pickleball court, a lap pool and spa, and a spacious outdoor BBQ pavilion.

Ingenia Lifestyle Head of Development QLD Adam Forrester said it was exciting to be able to open Club Millers for residents to enjoy.

“Club Millers has been specifically designed to provide our residents a space to be both active and social, with every part of the space tailored to them,” Mr Forrester said.

“We’ve prioritised amenity and functionality to ensure residents get the most out of Club Millers year-round.

“Our aim was to create a space that brings people together and fosters a real sense of community – a place that helps forge connections and supports a healthy, active lifestyle,” Mr Forrester said.

Located in Beaudesert, the Millers Glen community is just minutes away from nearby shops, parks, and the local hospital.

The community’s prime position in the Scenic Rim means residents are never too far away from good food, wine, and countless adventures.

Scenic Rim Regional Council’s Division 4 Councillor Jennifer Sanders whose division encompasses Millers Glen said the community had been a big win for the area.

“The thing I love most about being a councillor is getting to meet the wonderful people who call our region home, so getting to meet the residents who’ve made Millers Glen their home has been a really special experience,” Cr Sanders said.

“There is no substitute for a strong sense of community and the residents at Millers Glen and the Ingenia team have created exactly that.

“I look forward to watching this close-knit community continue to thrive,” Cr Sanders said.

The materials and colours used in Club Millers were carefully chosen to reflect the vision for Millers Glen’s future expansion, embracing a relaxed, rural lifestyle while fostering a sense of community.

Stephanie Clark, Senior Development Manager at Ingenia Lifestyle said the new facility’s commitment to shade was a defining feature.

“Ensuring there was enough shade was a big priority for us, the facility has covered seating areas designed around all activities and over the pool to ensure residents can make the most of the facilities year-round,” Ms Clark said.

“Whether it’s to socialise, try a new activity, or just unwind, residents can gather with friends, family, and neighbours in a beautifully designed outdoor setting.

“It really is perfect for bringing people together in a vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere and I’m pleased to see it all come together for the residents to enjoy,” Ms Clark said.

Planning is currently underway for the next stages of the Millers Glen community that would see the delivery of an additional community clubhouse. The proposed clubhouse would form the perfect accompaniment to Club Millers, with likely features including residents dining, kitchen and bar facilities, arts & crafts room, library and gymnasium.

The opening of Club Millers was celebrated with a special event attended by the residents, Councillor Jennifer Sanders from Scenic Rim Regional Council and Ingenia Lifestyle staff involved on the project.
