New Luxury Rainforest Clubhouse “Nature’s Retreat” Now Open
19 June 2024
Ingenia Lifestyle Nature’s Edge is setting a new standard in over 50s luxury living with the launch of its second multi-million-dollar community clubhouse, Nature’s Retreat.
Ingenia Communities Executive General Manager Development, Sales & Marketing Von Slater said the Retreat would bring a contemporary wellness-inspired centre to Nature’s Edge and was Ingenia Communities’ latest investment into the Sunshine Coast region.
“Nature’s Edge residents have been eagerly awaiting the opening, and in particular its second pool which is geothermally heated, keeping it not only luxuriously warm throughout the year but also sustainable.
“We believe in the importance of creating communities, facilities and amenities that allow our residents to live the kind of lifestyle where they can flourish, where they can enjoy the company of others in a fun, social environment or enjoy some quiet time to themselves in a relaxing atmosphere,” Ms Slater said.
With two- and three-bedroom homes in the community’s Canopy Release selling between $1.499million and $1.699million, Ingenia says that access to premium and well-considered community facilities are the expectation of the new generation of downsizers on the Sunshine Coast.

The new Retreat features a resort-style outdoor pool and spa, yoga and pilates space, gym and change rooms, sauna, hairdressing salon, kitchen, BBQ area, dining room, quiet retreat space and a social space anchored by a bar and balcony that captures rainforest views.
“Resident connectivity is always front of mind and these additional amenities will further strengthen engagement, friendships, and relationships within Nature’s Edge. Our residents won’t need to go far to explore new hobbies, pamper themselves all amongst a thriving community,” Ms Slater said.
Resident Tony Unsworth said heading to Nature’s Retreat would feel like going on a holiday without having to leave home.
“Well essentially it’s like going to a resort which you don’t have to pay for! We don’t have to catch the train or a bus or a plane to go somewhere, we’re here, so that’s the best part about it”, Mr Unsworth said.
After touring the facility today, resident Jeanne Woolgrove said the new spaces would appeal to everyone in the community.
“I like the idea of the outdoor pool. I think that’s more enticing for families – kids prefer that than being in the indoor pool,” Ms Woolgrove said.
“And I like the rooms up here, the smaller rooms, because we play a lot of cards. We play in the big centre but it’s nice to have smaller, sort of more intimate areas, that you can play.”
Councillor Ted Hungerford said the vibrant new clubhouse was a fantastic new addition to the community.
“This is totally next level,” Cr Hungerford said.
“You’ve got a clubhouse here, you’ve got a barbeque, you’ve got a restaurant upstairs, you’ve got a bar facility, a pool table – I had to break the balls before, I couldn’t help myself having a game up there!
“But there’s so much to do and it’s like a community within itself which is different to what they’ve been in the past.
“I was here for the sod turning 10 months ago…and what’s come out of the ground in 10 months is absolutely inspiring, I was really amazed when I came in here.”
