Be Active news update from around the grounds
Ingenia Lifestyle’s social and lifestyle program, Be Active, is now in its second year and receiving amazing feedback from residents and staff. The program arranges new events each month that cover wellbeing, live music, social catch ups and fundraising for charities.
Frocks, friands and friendship
The Grange residents enjoyed a day of friands, friendships and frocks as part of the Be Active May events-calendar celebrating Mother’s Day.
Community Manager, Misty Lovis, said it was a fun day had by all and a great turn out.
“We had 70 people attend and all enjoyed a yummy spread of sandwiches and some delicious sweet treats to finish the day off nicely.
“The local ladies clothing shop attended and held a fashion show of latest frocks with some of the residents dabbling in some modelling,” Misty said.
Raising a cuppa for community and Cancer Council support
In late May, Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea was held so Australian’s could enjoy a cuppa and revel in the community spirit, all the while raising funds for the Cancer Council and their vital research, prevention and support services they provide to those battling the disease.
Ingenia Lifestyle residents were well into the same spirit of the day, sourcing raffle prizes and preparing delicious morning teas all for a cause that is particularly close to staff and residents’ hearts.
Latitude One brought together 120 people from local businesses, suppliers, residents, staff and their families to raise an incredible $3,500 in one day!
The team at Chambers Pines proudly partnered with Greenbank RSL where guests and residents walked away feeling proud of their joint fundraising efforts.
Albury and Plantations raised close to $400, bringing the grand total raised through our communities to just under $4,000!
Thank you all for your incredible efforts for this year’s Australia Biggest Morning Tea!
Cool Shots bringing out the hot shots in our communities
As the cooler months settle in, we asked our residents to heat things up and showcase “what their community means to them” through pictures, and we received some amazing photos!
To some of our residents, community living means having the ability to lock up and travel to destinations on their bucket list, to others it’s the beautiful sunsets and rainbows, then it’s all about the furry additions to their families.
It means something different to everyone and it’s great to see this showcased through images. Prizes were given to first, second and third across the participating communities.
