Multimillion dollar health and recreational clubhouse to break ground in Hervey Bay

Ingenia Lifestyle’s Hervey Bay community will turn the sod on the latest multimillion dollar clubhouse which will complement the community’s existing resident facilities ‘Eagle’s Nest’ and ‘The Hangar.’

The latest development comes as Ingenia doubles down on its commitment to investing in resident health and wellbeing, following a string of amenity and facility developments breaking ground across Ingenia Lifestyle locations in QLD and NSW.

Ingenia Lifestyle Head of Development QLD Adam Forrester said the new community facilities at Hervey Bay are key to creating and maintaining meaningful community connections amongst residents.

“We believe great amenities aren’t just a ‘nice-to-have’ – they’re an essential part of thriving and connected communities and we’ve seen how they successfully create places where people want to live.”

The community’s new clubhouse will round out the resident amenities at Hervey Bay, from the lounge, sport bar, library, media room, pool and bowling green of Eagle’s Nest, to The Hangar’s caravan, boat, and dog wash facilities, microbrewery, industrial laundry boat storage and workroom.

“This latest clubhouse will cater to health and wellness, featuring a well-equipped gym, golf simulator, steam room, sauna and pool as well as dedicated spaces for encouraging rest and relaxation with a lounge, bar facilities, private function area and multipurpose room,” Mr Forrester said.

“The residents here played a pivotal role in the amenities of this clubhouse. Ingenia consulted with the community on what they’d like to see included, with their responses informing the overall design.

“We know how much our residents value connecting with one another, and the clubhouse will provide an avenue for residents to maintain their physical health, create long lasting connections with like-minded neighbours, and forge a strong sense of community.”

Mr Forrester said Ingenia will continue to prioritise the investment into community facilities and amenities across its locations.

“These developments form part of a multi-million-dollar commitment from Ingenia to those residents who move into our communities wanting access to a range of leisure and lifestyle options.”

Ingenia Lifestyle Hervey Bay resident Sue Forbes said the second clubhouse will be an excellent addition to the growing community.

“To have that second space will be fantastic! It will spread things out across the community, we are really growing in size so it will be wonderful to have extra facilities and amenities like the pool and gymnasium which I’ve heard will be bigger than the existing gym,” Ms Forbes said.

“We’ve just opened The Hangar and that’s been absolutely fantastic. Some of us did a sip and paint there recently, it’s just another great place for us to get together for some fun.

“No day here is the same, we call ourselves reactivated retirees because the lifestyle we now get to live here is amazing and boy can we have fun!”

Ms Forbes is one of seven Ingenia Lifestyle Hervey Bay residents on the Welcome Committee and said the second clubhouse will be another great venue to host morning tea celebrations for the community’s newly arrived neighbours.

“We’ll be able to have another space to throw our ‘welcome to the community’ gatherings which are always so popular.

“We throw these so that the new residents can meet their neighbours who are moving in at the same time, as well as some of the existing neighbours. It’ll be great to have another venue to host these friendly gatherings.”

The second clubhouse is set for completion by early 2025.
