Ingenia Lifestyle turns first sod on new over 50s community at Yeppoon

Ingenia Communities is set to bring a new standard of community living to Queensland’s Capricorn Coast in Central Queensland, as construction begins at Ingenia Lifestyle Seagrove, a resort-style over 50s community in the fast-growing suburb of Taroomball.
Situated on a generous 29-hectare site with the current masterplan approved for 322 modern homes, Ingenia acquired the land in 2024, reinforcing the Group’s long-term commitment to expanding its footprint in Queensland. The new community is one of the region’s most significant new lifestyle developments.
Ingenia representatives were joined by Mayor Adam Belot, Deputy Mayor Pat Eastwood, Councillor Lance Warcon, Councillor Rhodes Watson, Councillor Andrea Friend, Michelle Landry MP and consultants at an official sod turning ceremony on site today.
Ingenia Lifestyle Seagrove plans to offer a range of two-bedroom homes, with selected designs featuring multipurpose rooms to support flexible living. A dedicated sales suite is scheduled to open in July 2026, marking the first opportunity for local buyers to discover floor plans, finishes and home designs.
Ingenia is one of the first developers and operators to introduce the land lease model to the Yeppoon market - a growing housing option offering affordability, security and resort-style amenity without deferred management fees.
It is the latest addition to Ingenia’s growing Queensland portfolio of communities which stretch from the Gold Coast in the south to as far as Bargara in the north.
