Construction begins on multi-million-dollar clubhouse The Edge

13 Aug 2026

An exciting new chapter is underway at Ingenia Lifestyle Drift, with construction officially underway on The Edge Clubhouse – a new oceanfront social hub designed for residents to relax, connect and make the most of coastal living.

Expected to be completed in late 2027, our multi-million-dollar facility is the second major clubhouse for our growing community and will overlook the Coral Sea.

The start of construction was celebrated on 6 August with an official sod turn attended by Ingenia representatives, project partners, residents and Bundaberg Mayor Helen Blackburn.

Designed to make the most of Ingenia Lifestyle Drift's unique oceanfront location, The Edge Clubhouse will offer a collection of resort-style spaces for socialising, entertaining and pursuing hobbies and interests.

Residents will be able to enjoy a resort-style swimming pool, informal dining area, library and business hub, bar and games lounge, entertainers' kitchen, cinema, arts and crafts room and meeting room.

Outside, an oceanfront terrace with barbecue facilities will provide another place to catch up with neighbours, entertain family and friends or simply relax and enjoy the coastal setting.

Ingenia Communities Head of Development Queensland Adam Forrester said The Edge Clubhouse would be an important addition to the lifestyle and amenity already available.

“Breaking ground on The Edge Clubhouse is an exciting milestone for our residents and the broader development of Ingenia Lifestyle Drift,” he said.

“The oceanfront clubhouse has been carefully designed to make the most of its unique location, creating a place where residents can come together, entertain family and friends, pursue their interests and enjoy everything that coastal living has to offer.

“As the community continues to grow, it's important that we continue investing in high-quality lifestyle amenities that encourage connection, wellbeing and an active way of life.”

Under construction by Bundaberg builder JRZ Built, The Edge will complement the community's existing Club Drift, which opened in September 2025 and has become a popular destination for health, fitness and recreation.

Club Drift features a lap pool, gymnasium, wellness spaces, sauna and steam room, as well as a bowling green, tennis court and pickleball courts.

Together, the two clubhouses have been designed to offer residents different but complementary experiences – from keeping active and focusing on wellbeing at Club Drift to dining, entertaining, socialising and relaxing by the ocean at The Edge.

Ingenia Communities Head of Operations – Lifestyle Queensland, Nicole Jentz said the addition of The Edge would give residents even more opportunities to enjoy life within the community.

“Club Drift has become a wonderful hub for health, fitness and recreation, while The Edge Clubhouse will provide additional spaces for residents to relax, socialise and enjoy the incredible oceanfront setting,” she said.

“Together, these amenities have been designed to support every aspect of community life, whether that's keeping active, pursuing hobbies, sharing a meal with neighbours or simply enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

“We know it's these shared experiences that create lasting friendships and make communities like Ingenia Lifestyle Drift such special places to live.”

Ingenia Lifestyle Drift will ultimately comprise 326 homes, offering residents a coastal lifestyle with direct access to walking paths, premium lifestyle amenities and uninterrupted ocean views.
