Club Drift heralds a new era of wellness and connection

A new chapter has begun for residents with the completion of Club Drift – our state-of-the-art sports and wellness clubhouse.

In a major milestone for our growing coastal community, Club Drift was officially opened on 17 September 2025, setting a new benchmark for lifestyle amenities in the Bundaberg region.

Residents, staff, and dignitaries, including Bundaberg Regional Council Mayor Helen Blackburn, gathered to mark the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a tour of the new facilities.

Club Drift offers an impressive suite of facilities, including a lap pool, gymnasium with a stretch room, yoga lawn, sauna and steam rooms, games room, multi-purpose consultation spaces, alfresco and informal dining areas with ocean views, and pickleball and tennis courts.

Existing amenities, including a bowling green, dog park, and direct access to coastal walking paths, further enhance Ingenia Lifestyle Drift’s position as one Australia’s most coveted oceanfront over 50s residential addresses.

Hugging the ocean shores with endless coral sea views, our community enjoys a stunning beachside location with never-to-be-built ocean views.

Ingenia Lifestyle Head of Operations for Queensland, Nicole Jentz, said the opening of Club Drift was about much more than just bricks and mortar – it was about strengthening the sense of community.

“Today is a celebration of the community we’re building here at Ingenia Lifestyle Drift,” she said.

“Facilities such as Club Drift are designed to do more than provide state-of-the-art wellness and recreation spaces because they bring people together. Whether it’s a morning swim, a yoga class, a friendly game of pickleball, or sharing a meal on the alfresco deck, these are the spaces where new friendships are formed and memories are made.

“This milestone is also a testament to the passion and hard work of our team, our construction partners, and most importantly, our residents, who have embraced the Ingenia Lifestyle Drift way of life from day one. Without their enthusiasm and trust, achievements like this wouldn’t be possible.”

Developed in partnership with JRZ Homes, the project involved the innovative transformation of a former residential home that was purchased and amalgamated into the site.

Ingenia Lifestyle Head of Development – Queensland, Adam Forrester, said the delivery of Club Drift was a testament to the strong collaboration between Ingenia and JRZ Homes.

“We’ve worked closely with JRZ Homes to bring this vision to life, and the results speak for themselves,” Mr Forrester said.

“What was once a simple residential home has been transformed into a contemporary sports and wellness facility for our residents to enjoy every day. From reconfiguring the original footprint to integrating the pool, gym, dining areas, yoga lawn, sauna, steam rooms, and pickleball courts – every detail has been carefully considered.

“This partnership has allowed us to deliver a facility that truly raises the bar for over-50s living in the region, giving residents access to an amenity offering well ahead of many competitors new to market.”

The clubhouse is the latest addition to Ingenia Lifestyle Drift. Since our creation in October 2023, 100 homes have already been completed or are under construction, with a total of 332 homes planned across five stages.

Grandmother Rosemary Welldon is among the current residents and was the first to move to Drift in March 2024. She loves the camaraderie and vibrant coastal lifestyle and is planning plenty of activities at the new clubhouse.

“It’s such an exciting time for us here,” she said.

“The pool looks lovely and I’m sure we’ll have some lovely community dinners and barbecues.”
