Agreement reached for delivery of Boomerang Drive road and infrastructure works

Ingenia Lifestyle knows how much local residents and the people who’ll live in the new over 55s community we are building at Blueys Beach depend on Boomerang Drive.
That’s why we’re working hard to get road and infrastructure upgrades underway.
Ingenia has now reached an agreement with MidCoast Council on the coordinated delivery of road works and the appointment of a construction contractor.
By working together, we’re better able to provide a single, integrated design, avoid overlap, and reduce the project timeframe.
The agreement consolidates our efforts to work constructively with Council since the Ingenia Lifestyle Kokomo over 55s community was approved in 2023.
Ingenia took the initiative to absorb engineering and project management consultant costs, as well as designing Council’s component of the road at no cost to ratepayers.
We’ve met regularly with Council to discuss the detailed design and proposed program of works contained in the extensive documentation submitted by Ingenia.
And we have been talking with local community leaders about the precise timeline for the construction of the road upgrade, given the demands during peak holiday periods.
Ingenia’s commitment to the road upgrade has always been absolute and we hope to have a precise timeline of works soon.
We look forward to contributing to the broader community via the provision of a better road and extended pedestrian pathway, which will not just meet the needs of our over 55s community, but also support the existing residents and businesses of Blueys Beach.
