As our Sales Manager, Simone Shearson plays a key role in guiding prospective homeowners through one of life’s most important transitions - finding not just a new home, but a new lifestyle. 

With nearly a decade of experience working across Ingenia communities, Simone brings a deep understanding of lifestyle living, along with a genuine passion for helping people feel confident and excited about their next chapter. 

We sat down with Simone to learn more about her journey, her first impressions of Ingenia, and what future residents of our new community can expect. 

What attracted you to the role of Sales Manager at Ingenia Lifestyle Sunbury? 
It was the opportunity to work closely with people during an important life transition. Selling homes in a community designed for over 55s is not just about the property, it’s about helping people find a lifestyle and community that suits their next stage of life. I enjoy building genuine relationships, understanding what matters most to buyers and guiding them through the process in a supportive and informative way. 

What excites you most about working here?  

Ingenia Lifestyle Sunbury has a genuine community feel, which was especially evident at our recent Grand Opening Sales Suite event. Potential residents were so positive and friendly towards staff and each other. Local residents were busy catching up while waiting for assistance from the team. I’m looking forward to working in Sunbury where it is established enough that you can find every convenience in close proximity, but not so large as to lose its country charm. 

You’ve come from another area of the business – what experience are you bringing into this role? 

I have previously worked as Community Sales Manager at three locations at Ingenia’s Federation branded villages. I started as a relief community manager almost 10 years ago and worked my way through various roles in administration, operations and sales. Community sales has been the role that I have enjoyed the most as I have found great satisfaction in assisting potential and new residents in their journey. 

What have been your first impressions of the community so far? 
Our welcoming Sales Suite is a lovely place to come to work. The huge aerial image of Sunbury has been a particular point of interest to all who visit, as clients search for their own home to point out. The magnificent established tree-lined entry has a definite wow factor. 

What are you most looking forward to as the community grows? 
I look forward to seeing the community develop into a vibrant, connected neighbourhood. It’s exciting to help people become part of a community where they can build friendships, enjoy the lifestyle on offer and feel a real sense of belonging. Watching residents settle in and the community come to life over time will be incredibly rewarding. 

What do you enjoy most about meeting people who visit the Sales Suite? 
I enjoy meeting a wide range of people and learning what’s important to them. It gives me the opportunity to understand their lifestyle goals and help them see how the Ingenia Lifestyle Sunbury community could be the right fit. 

What do you enjoy most about helping people find their next home? 
I enjoy helping people feel confident about their next chapter. It’s rewarding to support them through an important decision. Watching their excitement develop over the journey is one of my favourite parts of the role.
