Construction begins on major expansion at Ingenia Lifestyle Millers Glen
06 Aug 2026
Construction on the expansion of Ingenia Lifestyle Millers Glen has officially commenced today, with a sod-turning event marking the next chapter for the over 50s community in Beaudesert.
The expansion will see the community grow from its current 113 homes to a total of 324 homes, meeting increasing demand for lifestyle-focused housing in the region.
Delivered by Ingenia Communities, Ingenia Lifestyle Millers Glen is an over 50s land lease community currently under development in Beaudesert, offering residents a resort-style, connected and low-maintenance lifestyle.
The new expansion will introduce a range of brand new one-and two-bedroom home designs, providing more choice for downsizers looking to enjoy a relaxed country lifestyle while remaining within easy reach of the Gold Coast and Brisbane.
The new home designs have been thoughtfully tailored to the natural landscape, making the most of the outlook and breezes. Front-facing alfresco spaces have been carefully positioned to encourage outdoor living while fostering a connected neighbourhood where residents can easily interact with one another.
The sod turn follows the opening of Club Millers in June 2025, the first permanent community facility at Ingenia Lifestyle Millers Glen. This sports precinct has quickly become a hub for residents, supporting social connection and an active lifestyle with amenities including a bowling green, pickleball court, lap pool and outdoor entertaining area.
Future stages of the masterplan include a new resort-style clubhouse, Millers Homestead, currently envisioned to feature a pool and spa, dining and social spaces, gym, yoga room, cinema, arts and crafts room, workshop, salon and community garden.
Ingenia Lifestyle Head of Development QLD, Adam Forrester, said the expansion reflected the strong demand for over 50s communities in the region.
“Ingenia Lifestyle Millers Glen has already become a thriving community, and this next stage will allow even more people to enjoy the lifestyle and connection that the land lease model offers,” he said.
“The opening of Club Millers last year was a major milestone, and this expansion represents the next chapter as the community continues to grow and evolve.
“At Ingenia, we talk about life minded living – creating communities where people can spend less time worrying about the upkeep of a traditional home and more time focusing on the things they enjoy. surrounded by people at a similar stage of life.
“It’s about more than downsizing. It’s about creating opportunities for connection, belonging and shared experiences, while giving residents the freedom to live life on their own terms.
“Ingenia Lifestyle Millers Glen is a great example of that philosophy in action, and we're excited to begin the next chapter in the community's growth.”
The sod-turning event brought together consultants, residents and members of the Ingenia team to celebrate the start of construction on the next stage of the community.
Resident Judy Hancock has been at Ingenia Lifestyle Millers Glen for almost three years and is very excited about what’s to come. As President of the community’s Social Committee, she was honoured to turn the sod on the special day.
“The expansion is amazing and we are all looking forward to having more space and meeting new residents,” she said.
“Having a bigger gym and everything under one roof is just going to be lovely for mingling all together.
“Ingenia Lifestyle Millers Glen is a beautiful and friendly community and it’s just wonderful to live in a semi-rural area but still be so close to the town for trips out.”
