Santa’s helpers bring Christmas cheer
Christmas has come early to Ingenia Lifestyle Chambers Pines as residents and staff created a Community Christmas Market at their recent Open Home celebrations.
The over 50s community’s residents took on the role of Santa’s little helpers, working tirelessly to create woodworked reindeer and other Christmas goods to sell at the markets on Tuesday 10 December.
Ingenia Lifestyle Chambers Pines Project Sales Manager Lynda Ruddell said the markets included more than 15 stalls from residents and local businesses selling a variety of products including woodwork, crochet, candles, art and jewellery.
“Our residents are proud to show off our community any time of the year, but with Christmas just around the corner they were able to bring a bit of festive cheer to the local community,” Lynda said.
“The markets were a perfect opportunity for Logan locals to kick start their Christmas shopping and find out more about our growing community here at Ingenia Lifestyle Chambers Pines.
“The Christmas market stalls were stocked with some great items, supporting local businesses and promoting some of our residents’ talents and hobbies.
“The most popular stall was our community Men’s Shed with their woodworked reindeers – they were just gorgeous Christmas creations.”
The Community Christmas Markets and Open Home event also included a resident bake off, followed by a free morning tea of the baked goodies for guests to enjoy. The Christmas cake was the winner, hands down!
Thanks to all the residents and staff for creating this fun Christmas event!
