Ingenia Lifestyle coming to Coffs Harbour!

New South Wales Mid-North Coast locals will soon be able to enjoy the enviable lifestyle offered within an Ingenia Lifestyle land lease community – with a new site acquired in Coffs Harbour.

The Development Approved site, currently known as Glenwood Lifestyle Resort, comprises 19.5 hectares in the seaside town of Woolgoolga, approximately 25 kilometres north of Coffs Harbour.

With site development set to commence at the end of 2017, downsizers won’t have to wait long to purchase their brand new home with initial sales scheduled to begin in late 2018.

Chief Operating Officer of Ingenia Nikki Fisher said the latest acquisition was an excellent addition to the current cluster of the Group’s communities in the NSW Mid-North Coast and would help to extend Ingenia’s presence in region.

“We have seen strong sales at our South West Rocks community, about 105 kilometres south of Coffs Harbour, and are pleased to have secured another site in this region to provide an affordable downsizing option for local seniors,” Ms Fisher said.

Ingenia Lifestyle is setting new benchmarks in affordable housing, allowing over 55s to free up the equity from their old home and downsize into a land lease community, where residents own their own home, but lease the land.

The unique ownership model offers a new alternative than a traditional retirement village, making them one of Australia’s newest senior living trends available to the downsizing market.

With the population of over 55s in the Coffs Harbour area anticipated to rise by nearly 20% by 2026, there is an increasing need to provide more affordable and manageable sized homes in the region.

“Our unique ownership model provides a more affordable price point for buyers, where owners are not required to pay stamp duty or exit fees allowing for more money in their hip pockets.”

Set in the seaside town of Woolgoolga, Ingenia’s new site is in an attractive location for seniors looking to downsize with shopping centres, Coffs Harbour Base Hospital and Coffs Harbour Airport all easily accessible. Also within close proximity are a number of beaches popular for surfing, fishing, diving and snorkelling, in addition to the headlands which are great for whale watching between the months of May and October.
