Stoney Creek Celebrates Approval of New Community Club House

Over 55s community Ingenia Lifestyle Stoney Creek, has received approval on its long-anticipated community Club House.

The announcement comes after sell-out sales results for Stage 1 of the community, with only a small handful of homes remaining in Stage 2. Prices start from $350,000 for a brand new 2-bedroom plus study home.

The Clubhouse will be a hub for events in the community’s social calendar, providing space for residents’ social activities as well as accommodating a variety of meetings, events and the Ingenia Care Wellbeing program. The program aims to improve the independence and wellbeing of residents by assisting them to access a wide range of consumer directed care and service choices.

Project Sales Manager, Rachel Pullicino said the vision for the new Club House was to bring residents together and to instill a sense belonging within the community.

“The Club House will allow residents to experience the wonderful community camaraderie and encourage them to take up new hobbies such as book club, art classes, IT lessons, happy hour, seasonal celebrations, health and fitness classes, craft days, card tournaments and dancing, to name a few,” Rachel said.

“Residents will have access to a large commercial kitchen with accompanying dining area, a lounge area with television, library with double sided fireplace, a large alfresco deck with barbeque facilities and a consultation room for visiting medical practitioners.

“There will also be a sun deck and pool for the residents to enjoy in the warmer months and a gym and free workout space to complete the range of health benefits on offer at the Club House.”

The concept for the Club House’s interior design will inspire a calm and inviting feeling, drawing reference from the Blue Mountains with a layered textural look created through the use of furniture and accessories in raw linen looks, leather, textured timbers and pops of pattern.

Ingenia Lifestyle Stoney Creek residents Alan and Isabelle said Ingenia Lifestyle Stoney Creek provided them the opportunity to downsize yet maintain their independence.

“Prior to moving to Ingenia Lifestyle Stoney Creek, we had a big house with a big yard and it was becoming a bit of a struggle to maintain everything as we are not as young as we used to be,” Isabelle said.

“Ingenia Lifestyle Stoney Creek really appealed to us because we wanted to downsize yet maintain our independence while still being nearby to everything we knew, including our family and friends.

“It is really great to be living surrounded by our own age group. Even though we have not been here long, everyone is very friendly and we have already started to form some great friendships.

“The village almost feels like it is one big family. Our neighbours are all lovely and a lot of them are relatively new as well, so it is great to all be settling in together.”

Alan and Isabelle are already enjoying the benefits of a more manageable home, which has been thoughtfully designed for the couple to age in place yet remain independent.

“It sounds like a contradiction but I would call our home small but spacious. We have only 2 bedrooms and a study, but everything is so nicely spaced. We were just amazed at the space.”
