Member for Albury Greg Aplin MP joined Ingenia Communities CEO Simon Owen and General Manager Kate Melrose in officially opening the brand new Active Lifestyle Estates Albury clubhouse on Friday 29 April.
Active Lifestyle Estates resident David Rowlings assisted Mr Aplin MP in officially opening the clubhouse and unveiling a plaque in commemoration of the day. The Member for Albury noted the role the clubhouse would play in bringing residents together to encourage the connectedness of the community.
Twelve months in the making, the new $600,000 facility has transformed the lifestyle estate, providing space for resident social activities as well as accommodating a variety of meetings, events and social clubs for the local community.
Features includes a commercial kitchen with large dining area, lounge with gas fire, library and computer room for IT lessons, a large alfresco deck with BBQ and a consultation room for visiting medical practitioners.
Residents and special guests were the first to experience the new clubhouse, which complements a range of existing community facilities including a vegetable garden, men’s shed and pool.
Ingenia Communities CEO Simon Owen said the residents were well deserving of the new facility, which would give them a place to come together.
“Active Lifestyle Estates Albury is a beautiful place, treated with care by the residents who can now appreciate this new clubhouse and keep building a community for the future,” Mr Owen said.
Locals were invited to tour the clubhouse as part of a community open day, where they also viewed the latest display homes on offer and met with staff and residents to learn more about the community’s lifestyle focus on independence, well being and active living for over 55’s.
There are a variety of brand new home designs available, with two-bedroom homes starting from $195,000 and three-bedroom homes from $240,000.
